Decorated wine bottle for a summer gift.
I had lunch with an old friend and since I hadn't seen her in quite awhile, I thought I'd take her a bottle of wine. She likes a crisp white wine, so I wrapped a bottle of pinot grigio. And as I've said many times in my blog, I never gift a bottle of wine without wrapping it. I think it's more fun than a wine bag. Although people have told me they don't like to ruin the wrapping, so they let the bottle decorate their counter for awhile. That's a nice compliment.
I don't really have a tutorial for this bottle design. I really just found stuff around the house and grabbed my glue gun. The webbing came from a bag of avocados...I just snipped off a piece. The flip flops are stickers. The cool paper is gift wrapping paper. So whether you're wrapping a bottle of wine, a jam jar, a container of cookies...just look around your house for interesting this and thats. You might just surprise yourself as to how clever you are!
Instead of the flip flop sticker, shells would be a nice touch too. Or anything that speaks of summer.
