Wine Bottle Wrap

​Simple yet elegant fan wrap for your wine bottle gift using colored computer paper and origami paper.

Thought I’d add another idea for wrapping a wine bottle for gift giving. Wine bags are great, but creating something like this avoids having to drive to the store just to get a bag. And you probably already have the supplies to create this wrap.

I used colored computer paper for the wrap, but plain old white paper will do nicely too. For the fan effect, I used origami paper, but gift wrap paper would also work. And if you’ve got some glitter gift wrap, that would add some ‘wow’ to the design. Maybe I should have done that, now that I think of it.

​This is a simple design. All you need besides some paper is rubber cement. I cut off about an inch and a quarter from the long end of the computer paper. Then I cut some strips of origami paper and glued them at an angle to the edge of the paper. Pretty easy. To get a nice tight wrap, I taped the plain edge of the paper to the bottle. That way, when you roll the paper around the bottle, you get a tight fit. Then I glued the front edge. To make it stick, lay the bottle on its side with the glue side down until it dries.
