Gift Wrapped Wine Bottle

Gift Wrapped Wine Bottle

Wrap your wine bottle with some paper, cellophane, and ribbon for perfect gift giving.

Whenever you give someone a gift of wine, I always say you can do better than a wine bag. Yes, it’s quick and easy, but really, putting some effort into your gift doesn’t cost any more than that wine bag. And decorating your bottle or wrapping it as a gift says a lot about the person receiving it. They are special and worthy.

These Gift Wrapped Wine Bottles are not only easy to create, but look festive and classy. You probably have what you need right in your closet, except maybe the cellophane…which you can get at the Dollar Store. I always stock up on a few rolls for just in case, and I always end up using it for this and that.

Because I was doing this photo for my blog, I chose the three different papers that would be cohesive in color and style. But you can use any kind of gift wrapping paper: birthday, anniversary, holiday, generic, etc. It’ll all work. And you don’t need much, so you probably have enough right now.

Each bottle only needs a piece of gift wrap paper measuring 12 inches by 12 inches. The cellophane needs to be 12 inches by 13 inches.

Wrap the bottle with both papers, leaving the extra inch of cellophane at the the top. The bottom of the paper should be level with the table. Tape one edge of the papers to the bottle. This will keep the papers from moving. Wrap the other end around the bottle and tape it.

Cut a piece of ribbon and tie it around the neck of the bottle.
