Keebler now has Despicable Me wraps on their sugar cones. The kids love the yellow Minions, and the wraps kind of keep the cones from getting too sticky. But that gave me the idea of using them for candy holders.
Couple of people I know have already had Despicable Me/Minion theme parties, so this would have been a cute idea for guests to go home with this party favor. You could fill them with any kind of treat: mini cookies, candies, nuts, dried fruit, or even gift certificates to an ice cream store.
I found some banana flavored tic tac candies that look like tiny yellow Minions. But they are so small, you’d need too many of them to fill the cones, although that would be pretty cute. I tried tossing a few of them in the cone along with the peanut M&M's, but for the photo, you couldn’t see them. As a party favor, that addition would really add to the whole Minion theme and the kids would love that.
You’ll Need:
- Keebler sugar cones with Despicable Me wraps
- Large Peanut M&M's (or any treat)
- Cellophane
- Yellow ribbon
- Random colorful buttons
Fill the cones with treats, wrap in cellophane. Embellish with ribbon and glue gun the button on the center.
Display in a bowl or basket.
