This bark is a perfect balance of tastes and textures. I love salty snacks and my husband loves sweet snacks. I have a weakness for chips and my husband has a weakness for toffee. This satisfies both our cravings. One thing we do agree on is that we like crunchy snacks and this treat has that, too.
Here are a few tips when making the bark. Pick out chips that are all about the same size. An inch to an inch and a half size chips are easy to bite into. Traditionally, bark is broken into rustic pieces, but cutting it with a knife keeps the chips in place.
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup kettle potato chips
1/4 cup toffee bits
Melt the chocolate in the microwave, stirring in between 30 second intervals until smooth. Pour onto a parchment lined baking sheet. Spread chocolate to a 1/8 inch layer. Place chips throughout the chocolate. Press chips slightly so it will stay in place. Sprinkle toffee bits. Refrigerate until chocolate has hardened. Cut into triangles.
