Your guests can having a lasting memory of their time with you by reusing the pins.
One of my friends prides himself on going to the dollar store to find the gaudiest, silliest, most impractical thing he can find to give as Christmas presents. One year he gave me a pack of clothespins. Yes, you heard correctly…clothespins. To his surprise, I made these butterflies as clips to hold my thank you note to him. In fact, I did this for all the thank you notes I wrote for my office co-workers that holiday season. What was touching is that throughout the year, I still would see these butterflies on plants, bulletin boards, and file holders. I recently made them to enclose cookies in parchment paper envelopes to give as favors. I received rave reviews and pictures of the butterflies’ new homes.
Glue origami paper to card stock. Let dry completely. Cut wings out and glue to inside of the clothespin. Color clothespin with a marker. Embellish wings with rhinestones.
